TCR Global Trade Friction Index
A reproducible public index of source-supported trade-compliance friction across jurisdiction scopes. It combines published TCR Trade Intelligence with independently verified, de-duplicated source signals. It does not predict border outcomes, provide legal advice, or assign an official country-risk rating.

Methodology and evidence boundary
Weighted aggregation of published trade-intelligence evidence and independently verified, deduplicated source signals (critical=5, high=3, medium=1.5, low=0.5; source signals confidence-weighted) normalized to 0–100 over a 30-day rolling window. Alerts themselves never contribute.
Risk weights are critical 5, high 3, medium 1.5, and low 0.5. A Google Alert is never a score input. It first becomes a private discovery candidate; only a sealed original source that passes classification, confidence, and deduplication gates can become a separately disclosed source signal.
