The EU Battery Regulation DPP Mandate The EU Battery Regulation requires that from February 2027, all EV batteries, light means of transport (LMT) batteries, and industrial batteries above 2 kWh placed on the EU market must carry a QR code linking to a Digital Product Passport. The DPP must contain: battery model identifier, manufacturer identity, carbon footprint per kWh, recycled content percentages by material, supply chain due diligence statement, and state of health data (for second-life batteries).
